The world’s first Ranger Hybrid has landed in New Zealand. The torquiest Ranger ever released, churning out an earth spinning 697Nm; courtesy of the 2.3-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine, mated with an electric motor. This makes the Ranger Hybrid the most efficient Ranger ever, with a combined fuel economy rating of just 2.8l/100km, and 43km’s of pure electric range.

The Ranger Hybrid is here to do more than ever with innovative technology such as Pro Power Onboard, which allows the Ranger Hybrid to power up to 6.9kW of gear directly from the onboard battery. Power high-draw tools simultaneously, run a fridge and lights, charge devices while camping off-grid – the possibilities are endless.

The Ranger Hybrid has an all-electric range of up to 43km, meaning that commute to work has never been more efficient. Charging with a standard household plug overnight will mean you will have a full charge every morning! With a seriously impressive EcoBoost engine, the Ranger Hybrid always has power on tap - combining the best of gas-power and the best of electric - with none of the draw backs.

3.5-ton towing? Impressive off-road performance? Of course – it is a Ranger! 697NM of torque, a locking rear differential, dual range transfer case and an advanced 4wd system means the Ranger Hybrid can do Ute stuff just as well as ever!

Drive Modes

The e-motor allows Ranger Hybrid to deliver electric driving capability for the first time ever on a Ranger. The driver can choose when and how to use battery power using Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later or EV Charge modes.

• Auto EV: keeps Ranger Hybrid in the best mode for performance and efficiency
• EV Now: Runs purely on electric power
• EV Later: keeps a portion of charge in reserve so that it can be deployed later
• EV Charge: prioritises recharging the battery while driving
