60 Years of Mustang

Sixty years ago, on April 17 1964, Ford unveiled the original Mustang at the World’s Fair in New York.

In the 60 years since that date, Ford has continued to lead the way, innovating, and defining what a true sports car needs and should be. We’re proud to make customers dreams come true when they get behind the wheel, and to have the Mustang be the best-selling sports car – not just in New Zealand, but across the globe, according to Ford analysis of registration data from S&P Global Mobility1.
